This is the best Chinese food in the general area. It's worth the slight extra distance for us. It's consistently great every time we've been there. This last time was probably the best. The food is flavorful and fresh.

I have DD this place 3 times in 2 months and they have been consistently good! I love this place because it's an unexpected hole in the wall that busts out some damn good fresh Chinese food and because of the location it's very reasonable in price. Also they pay attention to your special requests you can add in the notes. Such as no onion, or sub orange chicken for garlic chicken with their lunch specials, because garlic chicken wasn't listed on DD. Whenever I try a new Chinese food place I'll get a couple lunch specials 1st, therefore I'm not spending a ton and won't be stuck with leftovers I'm going to throw out. Or maybe I want a couple different entrees and don't want to spend a ton ordering them, "a la carte" and then being stuck with a ton of leftovers my small family won't be able to finish. Their portions are very good in size and the veggies are not overly cooked! The food is not overly greasy, and the sauces and seasonings they use are very good! So far we have had non-crispy garlic chicken (I meant to get the crispy but didn't know they had non crispy) even though it wasn't battered, it was delicious! The appearance was a bit off putting cuz it looked like small pieces of chicken pail in color. But, you can't judge food based on its appearance! I've had food that looked delicious and tasted like garbage. Anyways, I tried it because I paid for it and it was my error. Much to my surprise, it was freaking phenomenal! I will definitely be ordering non-crispy garlic chicken again because it's healthier and not deep-fried. We have ordered broccoli beef twice and usually when you get broccoli beef it's mostly just broccoli with a few pieces of beef. There were equal portions I would say of broccoli and beef. The beef is always tasty and It's not fatty and the sauce is not salty. We have also had their general chicken, sweet and sour pork, and Peking pork. The Peking pork is bite-size pieces bone in, so be careful! But again the pieces of meat they use are not fatty, and the food is not overly greasy or salty. Their chow mein and fried rice is also spot on. This last time I had to add a tiny bit of soy sauce to my chow mein, but I'd rather have it that way than it being overly salty. But after adding a tiny bit of soy sauce, it was perfect. My family has 2 other places we order Chinese food from. But this place has definitely become one of our go to #1 places because the prices are great and the food is consistently good. What more could you ask for? Usually I provide pictures, but I couldn't wait and wanted to immediately scarf this delicious food down. On my next cheat day when I order Chinese food from this place again, I will try to refrain myself from scarfing the food down and provide a picture.

I love the general shrimp! & potstickers. Lunch special with the fried rice. Friendly family, call ahead during inch or before 3 it's busy.

Tried for the first time via DoorDash. Ordered the Shrimp Egg Foo Young which was in a delicious gravy sauce with mixed vegetables. Also got the Black Bean Fish, great flavor & wasn't mushy like other places. It has a slight crunch to the batter. House Special fried rice was ok, didn't have bbq pork in it. Only shrimp, chicken & beef. Next time I'll order BBQ pork fried rice. Everything was tasty! Will order again.

Lunch time and today I feel sweet & sour chicken! I hit up China Express @ 5749 Watt Avenue in N. Highlands CA. I ordered from the lunch special menu of sweet & sour chicken, fried rice w/ egg roll on the side. There was some tech. issues w/ register but got a delicious bowl of egg drop soup for the wait! My lunch was delivered hot & beautiful! Everything was very delicious, hot and pleasing to my palate! I've eaten here a couple of times & food is always very good! All staff and especially cooks run a a great home-like restaurant that delivers great food in a comfortable, clean environment! Loved the food!!Definitely recommend !!

This is an in and out place! They are on top of it every time I go there. The food is always on point. We get our household staples of bbq pork fried rice, sesame chicken and pot stickers. And they never fail.

I was absolutely shocked at how good the food was! It was getting close to 8:00 pm and we don't have any really good Chinese food in Roseville; at least not in our opinion. I always have to head into Sacramento if I want tasty Chinese food. Anyway, it seems almost all the Chinese restaurants close by 8 pm. I called my wife, and we decided Thai would be fine. I drove to our favourite, House of Thai Rice & Noodles, and it was closed, too! Lo and behold, China Express right across the street was still open! I guess I'll give 'em a try! I ordered Mongolian Beef, String Bean Chicken, General Chicken, BBQ Pork Chow Mein, and fried pork potstickers. The food was cooked fresh. The price was right. The portions were fine. And overall, each of the dishes were really tasty! The folks working were so friendly, attentive, helpful, and quick! From the exterior, I was not expecting the quality food or level of service we received. While the interior of the store is relatively clean, it's not decorated in the most elegant way. But hey, I'll be back! The food was that good! I guess it's true; you can't judge a book by its cover!
